I remember doing a presentation about "Honesty is the best policy" for math class (I know what you're saying "MATHS? It doesn't make any sense?) Well yes it doesn't make any sense but we had to do it anyways. If my memory serves me right, there were 20 quotes that we had to pick from, and since I appreciate honesty so much, I pick that quote. The thing is that the teacher told us to step out of the box and impress him with a 90 seconds presentation (Yup people 90 seconds presentation).
You can see how tough it is to throw everything out of your mind in 90 seconds. Well at least for me that's very difficult, because I talk A LOT in my mind haha! I hate to be boring and ordinary, so what I did is turn that quote into a question (As you can see in the title).
I actually had to do some research and then present it based on my study, but what I did was ignore the teacher's instructions (don't do that please) and done it my own way instead. I completely relied on my way of thinking and my thoughts about this quotes for the presentation. To make it more clearer to you, it means that I just spoke from my heart directly.
At the day of my presentation I did a horrible mistake, I started off saying "Hello everyone! My name is Ronnie and today in my presentation I am going to do a presentation...." Agh! Everyone laughed at me. I was hilarious, I don't mean to brag about myself but I am memorable haha.
The teacher loved the surprising effect (as he said) about changing the quote into a question. He was totally impressed of my idea (YAY!).
This post was meant to tell you that try to stand out and be creative and if not well no harm done :D

Victoria, Australia
Last Easter I was determined to visit my friends who are studying in Bendigo, VIC. I can only remember how happy I was once I booked the tickets at the travel agency. At the day of my flight, a criss happened to me. I felt completely stupid for not checking in before my flight. Well I can excuse myself somehow, because I've never travelled alone before hehe. Anyways lesson is learned, I won't make that mistake again! I waited for 3 hours in the airport because of my mistake. I was never that bored in my entire life. No wonder dad won't allow me to travel alone (He knows better).
My flight was suppose to fly at 5 pm, but after the delay and changes my flight was moved back to 7:45 pm duo to the horrible weather. The worst part of this flight was that I had to land in Sydney for transit, then go straight to Melbourne. You can only imagine my friends there in the airport waiting for me for hours (I guess they waited 7 hours?). After finally landing in Melbourne, I was reunited with my beloved friends <3
I've arrived around 11 pm? My friends and I were so exhausted that we had to book a hotel in Melbourne. Oh god! I still remember when we were waiting for the hotel shuttle to pick us up from the airport. I was on my way to the hotel until I realized that I forgot my phone on the seat, where I was sitting. My heart was about to stop beating for a second there, but my friends calmed me down and said that there is nothing to worry about.
We went back to the airport and thankfully a woman kept it until someone asked for it. I could never be more thankful and grateful to that woman for what she did. It's hard to find people who are honest (honest in sense where people don't steal things) these days. After a very long day, we've arrived to the hotel and slept the night away~
At 7 am we woke up to catch the bus to bendigo. I remember how we were rushing through the room and running to the shuttle haha. The bus took 2 hours (maybe I don't remember), and I was so sleepy that I barely opened my eyes.
*this post is longer than I expected haha*
To cut long story short, my days with my two beloved friends in bendigo and Melbourne were amazing. I know I didn't spend that much time with them. but I would do anything (I MEAN ANYTHING) to do this trip again <3
F & Z thanks for the good times you've given me. I love you <3

Break a leg, but not mine.
Back in April 2013, my left foot was officially fractured. After my father and sister left me in Australia, I began to feel this pain in my left foot whenever I step on it. At first, I thought it was just a simple muscle cramps that usually happens to any of my other muscles. Two weeks passed, but nothing seems to get better. I used to walk all the way to my university ( approx. 20-40 minutes) and back again to my apartment. I can only imagine how my foot was screaming from the pain.
I used to force myself to walk all this long distances despite the pain that I felt. I decided then that I need to seek medical help, and I thought to myself maybe it's more serious that I thought it would be. The next day I took an appointment, and went to the doctor and explained to her everything that I went through. I've done some normal x-rays, but as expected nothing appeared. Blood test results were perfectly fine, and the final solution was to make a bone scan.
The bone scan actually showed that I have a fracture in my left foot. You can never imagine my surprise that day when the radiologist told me after the test was done. I kept repeating "what?" every single time when he said "you have a fracture". My poor little foot was suffering way too much because of me, and I felt like a complete idiot. The good news was that my fractured bone was already healing itself, which is the main reason why I want to study biology!
I was a fighter back then, I relied solely on myself. They've put a removable medical boot on my foot, and I had to take the bus to college everyday (and for the next few months). I remember my friend's, and my classmate's face expressions when I entered the class with my boot. I would never forget that moment! I loved the attention that I've got. Lets be real everyone loves getting attention for time to time haha. That actually helped me to gain more friends, and to be less shy than before.
An opportunity, yet a destructive one. As my trainer used to say "No pain, no gain". I had pain from my fracture, yet I gained the ability to be less shy around people than before. It's weird how things happen in this world. It makes me giggle. What did I learn from this experience? Self-relience and being strong.
A valuable lesson for a student who is living and studying abroad.
